Prince William 'pointed finger in face' of Meghan Markle before 'seven-word outburst'

Meghan Markle told Prince William to “get your finger out of my face” during a row about Kate Middleton, according to a new biography of the Princess of Wales.

The incident occurred after the Duchess of Sussex claimed Kate’s “baby brain” had caused her to forget a detail of her wedding plans.

During talks to clear the air following their honeymoon, Kate chided the duchess, telling her they were “not close enough for you to talk about my hormones,” before William described Meghan as “rude”.

“Meghan stood up to him and said, ‘Take your finger out of my face,’” Royal author Rob Jobson wrote.

“Things had definitely cooled between them, if not soured,” he added.

This comes amid the news that Buckingham Palace has released a new set of royal values. These include a commitment to “stay curious” and “help shape a better world”.

The Palace said in its annual report: “The new reign has given the royal household the opportunity to define a new expression of purpose underpinned by a refreshed set of values.”

However, both sides apologised to each other and hugged before ending the meeting - although it may have been a sign of things to come. William and Harry have been at odds for several years now but the divide has widened following the death of the late Queen after the accusations Harry publicly levelled at his brother in double tell-alls: his memoir, Spare, and his Netflix documentary.

In the Netflix docuseries, Harry accused his brother of leaving him "terrified" when he began "screaming and shouting" at him during the infamous Sandringham Summit. While in Spare, Harry claims that a physical confrontation took place between him and William at Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace in 2019.

On recent trips back to the UK, Harry has not met with his brother and they did not sit together at the Coronation. And according to Mr Jobson's new book, when it comes to Harry as far as William is concerned "there is no way back".
